Terms of supply.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms govern the supply of milk and other items by MI:LK am to consumers in North London. They sit alongside your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
About me
MI:LK am is the trading name of Greg, a sole trader running a doorstep delivery round in N2, N3, N10, N11, N22 and NW11.
- Email: [email protected]
I’m a sole trader and keep a respectable amount of privacy, so my home address and phone number aren’t published online. Registered customers have my phone number. My full trading details, including a postal address, come with your confirmation email before your first delivery - and anything else you need for due diligence, about me, my suppliers or how I work, is yours on request by email.
How the agreement is formed
When you register, I confirm by email whether your street is on the round and propose a start date. The agreement is formed when I confirm and you agree by reply, in writing or by accepting the first delivery. There is no minimum term.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown on the price list and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- A flat £1 per week delivery charge applies, however many items or delivery days you take.
- I send one invoice by email on the 1st of each month, listing every delivery from the previous month.
- Payment is by BACS bank transfer within 14 days of the invoice date.
- If I change prices I'll give you reasonable notice - usually at least two weeks - before the new prices apply.
Delivery
- I deliver Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, before 7am.
- If something goes wrong (running late, item missing, float breakdown) I email you that morning. You won't have to chase.
- Going away? Tell me by the same cut-offs as for any change (below) and I’ll skip your deliveries.
- Glass bottles remain my property. Please leave the empties on the step on the next delivery so I can collect them.
Leaving your order safely
- Leave out something you already have for your order - a lidded crate, a planter, a storage bench, a shed or a basket. Lidded is best: it keeps off rain, foxes and birds. Your own suits your step best. If that is easier, ask and I’ll bring a plain lidded plastic box.
- For milk and chilled items (smoked salmon, soft cheese, cream), use an insulated box with a frozen gel pack, or a plastic bottle of water frozen three-quarters full. Put it in the box the night before.
- In warm weather, or if you collect after 9am, always use ice. Bring chilled items in and into the fridge as soon as you can - the Food Standards Agency advises keeping chilled food at 5°C or below.
- If anything arrives warm or damaged, don’t eat it - email me the same day.
Changing, pausing or cancelling
Everything I bring is ordered for the round, so there are three cut-offs. Email me to add, swap, skip, pause or cancel.
- Milk, juice and eggs: up to midnight, a few hours before delivery. For a Tuesday delivery, that is midnight on Monday. At midnight I read my emails, update the picking list and leave for the depot, so an email sent after midnight is too late for that morning.
- Bread (every loaf, including bread baked to order by Just Baked and Pittanoor): by 3pm the day before delivery. Longer around Jewish holidays - I’ll email the dates.
- The fridge shelf (butter, yoghurt, cream, cheese, fresh oat drink, deli, water and anything on request): by midday on Thursday for any delivery in the week after. These are special orders, not daily stock - each is ordered in fresh for you, so it has to be settled the week before.
- After a cut-off the item is already ordered for you, so it is delivered and charged, even if you then skip or stop.
- To stop altogether: email me. There is no contract and no minimum term. Items already ordered for you and outstanding invoices remain payable.
Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
This is an open-ended supply of goods, so you can end it at any time as described above. Once perishable goods (milk, bread, eggs, dairy) have been delivered, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply - Regulation 28(1)(c) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 excludes goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. You may still refuse to accept a delivery; please email me to do so.
Returns, faulty goods, refunds and credits
In plain words: cancel before the cut-off and there’s nothing to pay. After the cut-off the item is delivered and charged. Fresh food can’t be returned once it’s delivered. If it arrives wrong, damaged or missing, email me the same day and I replace or credit it.
If anything you receive is below the quality you'd reasonably expect - sour milk, broken bottle, damaged carton - email me on the day of delivery. I'll either replace the item on the next round or credit it against your monthly invoice, your choice. This is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- You’re never charged for anything I didn’t deliver.
- Items delivered as ordered, or already ordered for you because your change or cancellation came after the cut-off, aren’t refundable and can’t be returned - they’re perishable and were bought for you.
Liability
I take responsibility for the quality of what I deliver. I cannot accept liability for losses that were not foreseeable, were caused by anything outside my reasonable control (severe weather, road closures, supplier shortage) or that result from anything you have done. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Complaints
Email [email protected]. I aim to reply the same day and resolve within seven days. If you and I can't agree, you may use the Government's free consumer rights service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
